Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the lowering of the precision in analysis, by using a macromolecular porous thin film for a window material on the X-ray irradiation side of a vessel so as to remove effectively bubbles to be generated with the X-ray irradiation. CONSTITUTION:A macromolecular porous thin film is prepared by using a film having minute and numerous pores, which is formed of polyethylene having such an ultra-high molecular weight as an average molecular weight of 5X10<5> or above, for instance, and which has a thickness of 10mum or below, a break strength of 200kg/cm<2> or above and a porosity of 30% or above. A liquid sample held in a liquid sample vessel is sealed by the porous thin film, and bubbles generated under X-ray irradiation are removed through voids. This constitution enables the elimination of the lowering of the precision in analysis due to the bubbles and the breakdown of a window material of the vessel for the liquid sample.
