と選択的に係合して該リール台へモータの回転を
伝える首振りアイドラー機構５と、該首振りアイ
ドラー機構５の動力伝達経路中に介装したスリツ
プ機構とから構成される磁気記録再生装置のリー
ル台駆動装置に於いて、両リール台１，２に、各
リール台の回転に対して所定の制動力を及ぼす電
磁制動装置６を夫々配備し、該電磁制動装置６は
制御回路１９によつて動作が制御され、通常速度
の再生時には、首振りアイドラー機構５が係合す
る側のリール台に配備された電磁制動装置６が動
作し、早送り或は巻戻し時には両電磁制動装置６
が動作を停止することを特徴とするリール台駆動
装置。 電磁制動装置６は、各リール台１，２の被駆
動部となるリールギア１７に固定した磁性板１５
と、該磁性板１５に対向してシヤーシ１８上に配
設した電磁コイル１６とから構成され、制御回路
１９によつて電磁コイル１６への通電が制御され
る実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項に記載のリール
