Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a high-strength ferritic heat-resisting steel simultaneously having excellent strength and toughness by optimizing the content of Si, the product of contents of B and N, the content of Al, in a high Cr steel. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. of the high-strength ferritic heat-resisting steel is composed, by weight, of 0.03-0.15% C, 0.1-1.5% Mn, 8-13% Cr, 0.5-1.5% Mo, 0.05-0.30% V, 0.02-0.12% Nb, 0.01-0.1% Ni, 0.01-1.0% Co, 0.005-0.03% Al, over 0.2-0.5% Si, is specified to a range from over 2X10<-5> to <=5X10<-5> in the product of the contents of B and N, and is constituted of the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. The creep rupture strength of this steel compsn. is improved by limiting the product of the content of the B and the content of the N therein. Since this heat-resisting steel has the excellent strength and toughness, the steel is suitable as steel products for boilers and plants.
