Abstract
PURPOSE:To use a large quantity of fine particle raw material while keeping good furnace condition by holding permeability of charging material layer at charged position below the permeability starting fluidization at the time of charging small particle charging material layer into a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:Ore to be charged into the blast furnace is divided into two layers of (01) layer and (02) layer and to the (02) layer, fine particle raw material (about 3-8mm) is mixed to make small particle charging layer and this is charged near the furnace wall in executing the blast furnace operation. Then, the permeability at the (01) layer part before charging the (02) layer is measured, and the (02) layer is charged while adjusting charging condition and blast condition so that the permeability at the position is held below the permeability starting fluidization. By this method, the blast furnace operation is stabilized using fine particle raw material without causing aggravation of the furnace condition, and the cost is reduced.
