Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent early disconnection of optical fiber, by reducing tensile force of repaired optical fiber ground wire when compared with original level after strands of the wire are broken and repaired, thereby preventing application of abnormal stress onto inner optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:When strands are broken at a portion of an optical fiber ground wire(OPGW)10 and repaired with a repairing member 11, tensile force of OPGW10 is lowered when compared with original level. In order to lower tensile force, a messenger wire 20 is stretched independently, for example, and OPGW10 is suspended from the messenger wire 20 through suspension wires 21. Consequently, inner optical fibers are not subjected to abnormal stress and protected from early disconnection.
