Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniform nip pressure to transfer paper in the axial direction of a roller by providing a roller supporting structure provided with an energizing part which displaces one roller to the other roller between roller hand holding parts in the lengthwise direction of a supporting member. CONSTITUTION:The energizing part 10G1 is provided in the lengthwise center of the single supporting member 10G which supports both axial ends of a pressure roller 10E. Then the energizing part 10G1 consists of a cylindrical spring receiver 10G11 and a compression spring 10G12 whose axial end part is fitted in the spring receiver 10G11 and the supporting part of a machine body. Energizing force from the energizing part 10G1 is therefore distributed uniformly to the supporting part of the supporting member 10 for the pressure roller 10E, so both axial ends of the pressure roller 10E to a heat roller 10D have equal press-contacting force. Consequently, the axial press-contacting force between the rollers which abuts on each other is uniformed to prevent transfer paper from being sent slantingly and a defect in fixation from occurring.
