CONSTITUTION:A photodetector D detects heat radiation from a graphite furnace GT and its output is inputted to an error amplifier EA and compared with the output of a temperature programmer TMP to control electric power to the graphite furnace GT so that the difference is 0. When the furnace temperature rises above set temperature, the output of a comparator CMP becomes plus and a response switch CH operates to increase the variable resistor R of a response setting circuit RSP, thereby slowing down the response speed. Consequently, the hunting and overshooting are eliminated, the furnace temperature of frameless atom absorption analysis is stabilized, and the reproducibility of the analytic result is improved.
