Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain plants with little variation in the qualities among individual ones, by providing the interior of a cultivation system having cultivation shelves in tiers with a diurnal environmental zone and nocturnal one and circulating the cultivation bed through these zones corresponding to daily cycle. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a building 1, i.e. a plant cultivation system is provided with a diurnal environmental zone 1 and nocturnal environmental zone 3. The blow-off duct 5 of an air conditioner 4 fitted in the building 1 is introduced into the approximate central part of the nocturnal environmental zone 3, whereas the return duct 6 into the approximate central part of the diurnal environmental zone 2. The diurnal environmental zone 2 is provided with a lamp house 9. The cultivation bed 14 is then circulated via conveyors 11-13, lift and push 15, through said diurnal environmental zone 2 and nocturnal one 3.
