Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormal generation of SO2 gas by a method wherein an outer heat exchanger is comprised of a heat exchanging part and a hot-well, a part of circulating bed material stored at the heat exchanging part is franched off into the hot-well and then a temperature adjustment within the hot-well is carried out. CONSTITUTION:CaSO4 is decomposed within reducing atmosphere so as to generate SO2. Then, when a temperature within the atmosphere is increased over 900 deg.C, a concentration of SO2 is increased in a manner of acceleration. Accordingly, in order to prevent an abnormal occurrence of SO2, a temperature of a hot circulating bed material within a hot-well 6 is required to be controlled to show a value less than 800-900 deg.C. Then, when a low temperature circulating bed material R2 at about 300-600 deg.C within a heat exchanger 7 is supplied into the hot-well 6 through a temperature adjusting device 30, a temperature within the hot-well 6 can be controlled to a value less than about 800-900 deg.C.
