Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the length of a cable by generating a horizontal and a vertical synchronizing signals by a synchronizing signal generation circuit in a head part, obtaining an image pickup signal, and transmitting both synchronizing signals after mixing in the image pickup signal to a signal control part. CONSTITUTION:The synchronizing signal generation circuit 4 to generate the horizontal and the vertical synchronizing signals is provided in the head part, and those synchronizing signals are applied on a solid-state image pickup device 2, and after they are mixed in the image pickup signal, then, it is transmitted to the signal control part. At the signal control part, the horizontal and the vertical synchronizing signals synchronized with the horizontal and the vertical synchronizing signals generated at the synchronizing signal generation circuit 4 in the camera head part are generated, and are utilized as the synchronizing signal source of a reference television system. Thereby, no influence due to the length of the cable connecting the camera head part to a signal processing part is applied on the synchronizing signal to be applied on the solid-state image pickup device. In such a way, it is possible to extend the length of the cable corresponding to that of an object to be measured, and to obtain a video on the pipe surface of a lengthy pipe such as a gas pipe.
