Abstract

PURPOSE:To digitally detect a composite signal with a simple constitution by A/D-converting a composite signal to plural bits, and FM-detecting a subvoice signal from a subcarrier wave which is a one-bit digital FM signal indicating a polarity among the plural bits. CONSTITUTION:An analog composite signal including a subcarrier wave frequency-modulated by a subvoice signal and a main voice signal which is inputted to a terminal 1, is converted to a plural-bit digital composite signal in an A/D converter circuit 2. A BPF 3 separates a subcarrier wave component from an output from the circuit 2. A detection circuit 4 detects such one bit as indicating the polarity from data outputted from the BPF 3. Thus detected one-bit digital signal is FM-detected in an FM detection circuit 5, subjected to a level control circuit 6, then inputted to a matrix synthesizing circuit 8 where it is synthesized with a main voice signal outputted from a delay circuit 7. A left signal is outputted from an adding circuit 81, and a right signal is outputted from a substraction circuit 82.
