Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a method for dyeing cellulose-containing fibers, capable of dyeing the cellulose-containing fibers in an arbitrary color tone in good dyeability even in the presence of a small amount of an inorganic salt by using together a specific water-soluble red reactive dye and a specified blue component and/or a specified yellow component. CONSTITUTION: This method for dyeing cellulose-containing fibers comprises subjecting the cellulose-containing fibers to an exhaustion dyeing treatment using a reactive red component of formula I (R<1> , R<2> are each H or a lower alkyl; R<3> is H, a lower alkyl or a halogen; X is CH=CH2 or C2 H4 OSO3 H) and a yellow component of formula II (R<4> is NHCOCH3 , NHCONH2 or the like; X is the same as above) and a blue component of formula III (R<5> is a lower alkyl; X is the same as above) to dye the fibers in a desired color tone. The dyes can suitably be mixed and then used to dye the cellulose-containing fibers in an arbitrary color tone in the presence of a small amount of an inorganic salt (used in an amount of about 1/3 to 1/10) in excellent dyeability, thereby enabling the dyeing of the fibers in a resource-saved state and at a low cost.
