Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the jam of an IC card by providing a second detecting means for monitoring the state of a moving body moving according to the inserting and ejecting operation of the card of a first detecting means for detecting the presence or the absence of the insertion of the card. CONSTITUTION:When the card is inserted and the end part thereof abuts against an abutting part 82, a biasing spring 80 is deformed counterclockwise, the detecting part 81 is moved to the same direction to interrupt an optical path between the light emitting element 78 and the light receiving element 79 of a card sensor 11. A control circuit detects it to rotate a motor 7, further carry the card to an X direction and move a carriage 5 to the same direction.
