Abstract

PURPOSE:To judge whether a terminal executing a connection request is an illegal intrusion terminal or not by comparing a signal reciprocating time obtained by actually transmitting a signal to the terminal executing the connection request with the signal reciprocating time previously stored in a storing means. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 2, at the time of applying a user ID code from a terminal 1, retrieves the storing part 22 to obtain the signal reciprocating time corresponding to the ID code and transmit the specific signal to the terminal 1. The reflecting part 12 of the terminal part 1 immediately returns the transmitted specific signal. A time from the transmission of the specific signal to the return thereof is measured by a timer 23 in the host computer and when this time coincides with the signal reciprocating time in the storing part 22, it is judged that the terminal executing the connection request is not the terminal of the illegal intrusion. Consequently, when the coincidence of the time is within a prescribed time difference, the connection request of the terminal is permitted but it is rejected when it is above the prescribed time difference.
