Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The data line (DATE 7-0) ordinarily feeds the data to the printer 2 from the controller 1. Namely, a transceiver 5 operates as a driver and a transceiver 6 as a receiver. IN order to receive the data from the printer 2 by the controller 1, a 'special control code', a function code and the number of transfer data bytes are fed from the data line and the transceivers 5, 6 are switched according to a communication in the hand shake line to have a transferring state. Accordingly, a large change is not present in the construction of a connecting line to realize the bidirectional transfer of the data, know the state information or the like of the printer by the controller and extend and strengthen the function of the system.
