Abstract

The ends of the fibers 8a and 8b and the ends of the fibers 8c and 8d form pairs, respectively. A light emitting element 10 and a photodetector 11 are optically connected to the fibers 8a and 8b and 8c and 8d. In this way, the rotary angle can be detected only by facing the rotary plate 4 and the fibers 8a and 8b and 8c and 8d.
