Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a pulley having durability, by forming a flange part on both sides of a cylindrical part by squashing an annular projecting part with a roller die for moving in the axial direction, and a clamper for abutting on the outside face of a bottom plate. CONSTITUTION:A pulley base material 4 is clamped by a clamper 7 from both sides, a roller die 10 is pressed against about the center part of the outside face of a cylindrical part 3 of the base material 4, and while rotating the clamper 7 and the die 10, the clamper 7 is compressed in the axial direction and the die 10 is pressed in the axis center direction, by which the diameter of the center part of the cylindrical part 3 is reduced. Simultaneously, the opening end of the cylindrical part 3 is spread out by a tapered part 6 of the clamper 7 compressed in the axial direction. On the other hand, in a bottom plate 1 of the cylindrical part 3, an inclined part which expands to the outside is formed. Next, when the die 10 moves in the axial direction, the inclined part 6 and an annular projecting part 2 formed in the outside periphery of the bottom plate 1 are squashed against each other by the die 10 and the clamper 7, and a belt hooking-on part whose diameter has been reduced is formed in the center part of the cylindrical part 3.
