Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled culture bed capable of harvesting high-quality products at low cost, by calcining pulp sludge after treatment of sludge, carbonizing, treating the carbonized sludge with phosphoric acid and further blending the treated material with a fertilizer. CONSTITUTION:Pulp sludge which was discharged from a pulp making plant and treated by a sludge treating device is fed to an incinerator, burnt at about 900 deg.C to give carbonized sludge, which is selected into granules and powder. The granules are washed with water, fine powder attached to the surface of the granules, blended with preferably 30g based on 1kg sludge of 18% phosphoric acid powder and further with a fertilizer to give the aimed culture bed having high oxygen permeability, readily providing crops with oxygen and readily growing crops.
