PURPOSE:To improve sealing performance of a battery by sealing a seal part with a sealant made of isobutylene polymer including polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:A seal part of a battery is sealed with a sealant made of polymer mainly composed of isobutylene having average molecular 700-10000 and including 0.5-10wt.% polyethylene having 0.01-70g/10 minutes, which polyethylene is polymer polymerized with ethylene mainly and includes polymer obtained by copolymerizing, with ethylene, high rank olefin, i.e., such as propylene, buten-1, penten-1, hexen-1, 4-methyl-penten-1, octen-1. It gives a battery an improved sealing performance.
