Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically discharge the optical fiber by providing a carrying arm for a pair of right and left optical fibers, and a fiber receiving base, and fixing the lower end of the carrying arm to a rotatable axis so as to be freely oscillatable. CONSTITUTION:A discharge device of a coated optical fiber is provided with carrying arms 10(10A, 10B) for a pair of right and left optical fibers 18, and a fiber receiving base 32. The carrying arms 10 are fixed to a rotatable axis 12 by its lower ends so as to be freely oscillatable, and on the free end, a holding part 16 being freely openable and closeable is provided, and the optical fiber 18 which is held by the holding part 16 can be moved to at least a connecting position and a discharge position. In such a case, the fiber receiving base 32 is in said discharge position and movable upward and downward, therefore, by two actuators of the carrying arm 10 and the fiber receiving base 32, the optical fiber can be discharged automatically.
