CONSTITUTION:This wood coating material contains a reaction product comprising (1) a vinyl polymer containing silyl and hydroxyl groups, comprising 5-80wt.%, based on the polymer weight, units of a monomer of formula I (wherein R is a 1-12C alkyl or an aryl group, R' is a halogen, an alkoxy group, an acyloxy group, an amide group, an aminoxy group, an alkenyloxy group, an amino group or an oxime group or a thioalkoxy group, and p is an integer of 0-2, R'' is a hydrocarbon group having a double bond, and Z is a bivalent organic group or a direct bond), and 0.5-20wt.% units of a hydroxylated monomer and, optionally, units of other polymerizable monomers, (2) a polyol, (3) a plyisocyanate and, optically, (4) an active hydrogen-containing silane coupling agent or an isocyanatoorganosilane.
