Any of the melody ICs being components of the melody circuit 4 is started by the control data (d) and a melody stored in advance is outputted from the selected melody IC. Thus, even when one telephone set is shared by plural parties, to whom the telephone call is given is recognized depending on the melody tone before the reply to the telephone call.
