Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a low friction effect between a shaft and a bearing, by a method wherein a bearing to support a shaft on which an amorphous material is coated is formed by a ceramic material. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy, e.g. tantalum, tungsten, being a metal having high wear resistance and corrosion resistance is coated on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft 21 of a turbocharger by deposition to form an amorphous layer 30. A bearing 29 being a plain bearing part to support the shaft 21 is formed by a ceramic material, e.g. silicon nitride, partial stabilizing zirconia, silicon carbide, being excellent as a slide material.
