Abstract
PURPOSE:To form the title forming die simultaneously satisfying the precision machinability by cutting, adhesion between a base and a surface layer, and die releasability of the formed glass body by forming the title forming die for a formed glass body with the base, an intermediate layer, and the surface layer, and using a specified material for the intermediate layer and surface layer. CONSTITUTION:The forming die for a formed glass body is formed with the base, a intermediate layer, and surface layer, and the following material is used for the intermediate layer and surface layer. Namely, the intermediate layer consists of (A) at least two kinds between 10-90wt.% platinum and 5-80wt.% silicon carbide or (B) at least three kinds among 10-90wt.% platinum, 5-80wt.% silicon carbide, and 2-40wt.% nickel and/or chromium. The surface layer consists of at least two kinds between 50-95wt.% platinum and 5-40wt.% nickel and/or chromium. Tungsten carbide, silicon carbide, silicon, silicon nitride, cermet, etc., are exemplified as the base material.
