Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain printed matter having good quality by stabilizing the transfer property of printing ink, by providing a temp. detector in close vicinity to the surface of printing plate and controlling at least one of the amount and temp. of cooling air sent to the surface of a printing plate according to the surface temp. thereof. CONSTITUTION:A non-contact type temp. detector 11 is provided in close vicinity to the surface of a plate cylinder 1 to be connected to a control apparatus 10 and motors 8, 9 are controlled according to the signal from said temp. detector 11. That is, when the surface temp. of the printing plate rises so as to exceed usual one, the damper 7 of a main pipe is opened and the damper 6 of an exhaust duct 5 is closed and the amount of air to be sent is increased to increase the discharge amount from a nozzle 2. When the surface temp. of the printing plate is lower than a predetermined value, the damper 6 is opened while the damper 7 is closed to reduce the amount of air sent to the nozzle 2. By this method, the surface of the printing plate is held to predetermined temp. and the transfer property of printing ink is stabilized to make it possible to obtain printed matter having good quality.
