Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly preservable and stable optical information recording medium containing azulenium coloring matter by adding an organic coloring matter and another specific chemical compound to a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer contains an organic coloring matter and at least one kind of chemical compound of those shown by formula I-IV. X in the formulas is an oxygen atom or a substitutable methylene group, and n is 0 or 1. r1-r4 are hydrogen atoms, etc., and r11-r18 are hydrogen atoms, substitutable alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, alkoxyl, acyloxyl, carboxyl, hydroxyl, amino, nitro and halogen atoms. These may be mutually coupled to form rings, or may be same with or different from each other. r9 is hydrogen atoms, a substitutable alkyl group, etc.
