Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the cushiony packaging material useful for a package which is easily damaged when handled, by spraying the dispersion liquid of a coating mixture to an exposed face of a foam body, and drying and curing the sprayed coating mixture at an ambient air temperature. CONSTITUTION: A support sheet 10 is sent onto a hanging roller 12, and passed through a curing area 14. A spreadable foam supply mixture is poured (pressure fed) to a supply trough 16, and this mixture is sent to an upper face of a sheet 10 from a notch 18 for forming the adhesive plastic foam stripes 24 at intervals. The foam body mixture is flown onto the sheet and passed through a lower part of a lower radiation heating panel 26, whereby the reaction is accelerated and the elastic solid foam body 37 is formed by curing. The polyethylene terephthalate film 31 of which both faces 33, 35 are coated with aluminium is preferably stacked on the supporting sheet 10 for giving the electrostatic shielding action to everything to be packaged by this sheet.
