Abstract

PURPOSE:To restore a local and required shape area of a working image to an original image by means of simple operation at the time of generating a correction error ratio during the correction of an image by providing an original image memory and a corrected image memory having addresses allowed to correspond to each other at the rate of 1 to 1. CONSTITUTION:The original image memory 3 and the corrected image memory 4 are connected to an image disk 1 for storing images through a disk controller 2 and the controller 2 controls the I/O of image data between the disk 1 and the memories 3, 4. The memory 3 stores an image transferred from the disk 1 during its correction, the memory 4 stores an image for correction and the addresses of the memories 3, 4 correspond to each other at the rate of 1 to 1. Image information in a fixed area around a coordinate position specified on the screen of a CRT 6 for displaying the contents of the memory 4 is corrected in the memory 4 and the image information in the fixed area is transferred from the memory 3 to the memory 4. Even when a correction error is generated during the correction of an image, a local area with a required shape can be restored to an original image by means of the simple operation, so that image correction can be efficiently attained.
