Abstract

PURPOSE:To optimize buffering effect by providing a driver's cage on the upper part of freely self-travelable vehicle body and providing plural supporting parts in the front and rear parts of the cage in such positions as a plane connecting these parts comes to the vicinity of the center of gravity of the cage. CONSTITUTION:A driver's cage 2 is provided on the upper part of a vehicle body and plural supporting parts are provided in the front and rear parts of the cage 2 in such positions as a plane connecting these parts comes to the vicinity of the center of gravity of the cage 2. And, the parts between these supporting parts and the vehicle body are linked by a link mechanism which permits the vertical movement of the cage 2 with respect to the vehicle body, while providing buffering bodies 7, 15 and damping-force variable shock absorbers 8, 16 between the vehicle body and the cage 2. The damping force of the damping-force variable shock absorbers 8, 16 is automatically regulated by means of a signal from an acceleration detecting means provided on the vehicle body. Thereby, vibration and shock from the vehicle body can be buffered by a damping force matched with the condition of a road surface.
