Abstract
PURPOSE:To perfectly remove the smell of livestock, by directly performing the coating or spraying of a diluted solution of a hydrogenous stabilized chlorine dioxide aqueous solution or having a tub-bath using said diluted solution. CONSTITUTION:A diluted solution of a hydrogenous stabilized chlorine dioxide aqueous solution is directly applied or sprayed or used to have a tub-bath. Deodorizing is performed by such a mechanism that an oxychlorine group, especially, Cl2O4 contained in hydrogenous stabilized chlorine dioxide acts on microorganisms being reactive substances such as bacteria, virus or the like to kill the same and suppresses the propagation of putrefactive bacteria. 0.4-0.8ml of a 1% aqueous sodium carbonate solution prepared by dissolving solium carbonate in water is added to the hydrogenous stabilized chlorine dioxide solution to adjust the pH thereof to 8.3-9.0. This pH range of 8.3-9.0 makes the chlorine dioxide solution most stable. In order to use the chlorine dioxide solution as a deodorant, it is necessary to preserve said solution for a definite period and pH adjustment is achieved in order to keep the solution stable to make it possible to obtain the solution extremely stable over several years.
