Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize the movements of abdomen or head of an examinee at the time of measurement and to obtain a tomographic image of high resolving power reduced in the artifact of movement, by adding a compressor to a high frequency coil for detecting the electromagnetic wave emitted from the object to be examined. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency coil 4 is covered with a cover body 2 composed of a non-magnetic material such as reinforced plastic. A compressing plate support rod 11 is combined with a support stand 10 by a screw structure and connected to a compressing plate 12 through a ball bearing 13 composed of a non-magnetic material and the support stand 10 is fixed to the cover body 2 by an acrylic resin screw. In order to compress an object 1 to be examined, the knob 14 provided to the upper part of the compressing plate support rod 11 is rotated in a direction allowing the compressing plate 12 to fall. Whereupon, the interval between the compressing plate 12 and the lower part 2b of the cover part becomes narrow and the object to be examined is compressed and the movement thereof is suppressed. In order to loosen compression, the compressing plate 12 is raised by reversely rotating the knob 14 and the interval between the compressing plate 12 and the lower part 2b of the cover body is widened to make it possible to loosen the compression.
