Abstract

PURPOSE:To calculate the fluctuation of an autonomic nervous system, by measuring only fluctuation of 0.02-0.5Hz when the fluctuation of living body data receiving variation by the effect of the autonomic nervous system is measured to monitor the effect of anesthesia. CONSTITUTION:A high-pass filter 5 of 0.02Hz for cutting a Dc component cuts the part low in fluctuation frequency of a signal and a low-pass filter 6 of 0.5Hz cuts a high frequency component equal to or more than the fluctuation frequency of an autonomic nervous system. An A/D converter 7 converts an analogue signal to a digital signal which is, in turn, stored in a digital memory 8. The digital memory 8 always stores a 256sec signal and the old signal is erased when a new signal is inputted to said memory 8. That is, the signals up to 256sec before the present time are stored. An FFT processor 9 takes in the data of the digital memory 8 at a proper timing interval of 10-60sec and the fluctuation/power spectrum analysis of the 256sec-signal is performed. This analytical result is displayed on a display device 10 as a trend graph.
