Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain favorable printing quality, by turnably mounting a presser on a base, providing the presser with a pressure pad for pressing an original plate against a printing paper placed on a support plate, and turnably disposing a member for holding the original plate between the printing paper support plate on the base and the pressure pad. CONSTITUTION:A postal card 27 is placed on a transparent plate 7, and an original plate 13 is mounted on an original plate-holding member 10. When a presser 2 is pressed, the holding member 10 is located over the postal card 27, a pressure pad 20 is brought into contact with a film cover disposed on the upper side of the original plate 13, and the original plate 13 is pressed against the postal card 27, whereby a pattern is transferred onto the postal card 27. When printing is conducted by stacking a multiplicity of the postal cards 27, the original plate 13 is brought into contact with the postal card 27 at a level higher than a normal level, and the pressure pad 20 is also brought into contact with the film cover of the upper side of the original plate 13 at a level higher than a normal level. With the original plate 13 fixed on the base independently of the pressure pad, it is possible to minimize positional deviations of images even when the original plate 13 makes contact with a printing paper at a level higher than the normal level.
