Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain exactly the same hologram as a master hologram by canceling distortion generated in 1st copy exposure by 2nd copy exposure which is carried out under the same condition as that of the 1st copy exposure. CONSTITUTION:The 1st copy hologram 21 is exposed for copying again. A dry plate (transparent substrate 53 and photosensitive material 35) for a 2nd copy hologram where the 2nd copy hologram 31 is to be formed is placed at a distance (t) from the 1st copy hologram 21 and the 1st copy hologram 21 is irradiated with a plane wave from the opposite side from the dry plate. The obtained 2nd copy hologram 31 has an image formed at a distance which is (t) longer than h' to the contrary as compared with the 1st copy hologram. Consequently, the influence of the gap (t) is canceled and exactly the same hologram as the master hologram is obtained.
