Abstract

PURPOSE:To develop a surface-treated steel sheet excellent in durability and heat resistance, by applying an alcohol solution containing one or more kinds among the alkoxide, monomethyl alkoxide, and acetylacetate of a specific metal and fluoroalkylsilane to the surface of a steel sheet and then subjecting the above to heating. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a steel sheet is degreased and cleaned, to which an alcohol solution, such as methanol, ethanol, and butanol, in which 0.005wt.% of one or >=2 kinds among the alkoxides, monomethyl alkoxides, and acetylacetates of Al, Zr, Ti, Si, W, Ce, Sn, Y, etc., and 0.005-0.30mol.%, based on the above, of fluoroalkylsilane are dissolved is applied. The above sheet is placed into an electric furnace and heated at >=100 deg.C, by which the surface- treated steel sheet excellent in durability and heat resistance can be manufactured.
