Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently exchange a battery in order to decrease the non- operating time of an interphone, to improve the reliability of operation, and to reduce maintenance cost by automatically transmit a power supply information signal showing the power-supply state of the interphone to other terminal equipment such as the monitor center of a maintenance company. CONSTITUTION:When a state change such as a voltage drop occurs to the power source 9 of the interphone 22, a power supply monitor means 5 detects the state-change, so that a microcomputer circuit 6 decides whether the power- supply state of the interphone changed or not based on a monitor signal from the means 5. In case said change is decided on by the circuit 6, an informing means transmits a power-supply-state signal representing the change in the power-supply state of the interphone 22 to other terminal equipment such as, for example, the monitor center of a maintenance company through a subscriber' s telephone line. As a result, the change of the battery can be efficiently achieved, an inferrior speech cased by the degraded battery can be prevented, the reliability of operation can be improved, as well as the maintenance cost can be reduced.
