Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the electrification on the surface of an insulator, prevent the induction of the creeping discharge, and suppress the cold emission from a low-voltage electrode by depositing and forming a transition metal oxide film on the surface of the insulator of an built-in resistor in an electron gun with the built-in resistor. CONSTITUTION:A transition metal oxide film 22 is deposited and formed on the surface of the insulator of a built-in resistor 21 to feed the divided voltage to the preset electrode of an electron gun 2. One or multiple kinds of oxides among Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, W, Mo, Cu can be used for the transition metal oxide. The transition metal oxide film 22 is deposited and formed on almost the whole surface of an insulating substrate surface 9 facing at least the electron gun 2 side of the built-in resistor 21 and also deposited and formed on the surface of the resistor of an insulating protective film 11 as required. The electrification on the built-in resistor surface 21 is suppressed, and the creeping discharge and the cold emission from a low-voltage electrode is suppressed.
