Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to print favorable images on a wide range of printing materials without any feeding trouble, by providing a release paper at least one part of which is not treated to be releasable, on the side of an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:An image-receiving material for thermal transfer comprises an image-receiving sheet (a) comprising a dyeable resin layer 1, a base 2 and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3, and a release paper (b) comprising a release layer 4 and a release paper base 5. At least one part of the release paper (b) is devoid of the release layer 4, so that the sheet (a) and the release paper (b) are fixed to each other by the adhesive layer 3 at that part. Thus, since the release paper (b) is devoid of the release layer 4 at least one part, the image-receiving sheet (a) and the release paper base 5 are firmly adhered to each other by the adhesive layer 3 at that part. Accordingly, at the time of printing by a printer, stable feeding can be achieved without levitation or exfoliation even when friction or catching is generated.
