Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously and automatically measure the amounts of animal and plant cells in a culture device without sampling, by installing a pair of electrodes in the culture device and measuring electric capacity. CONSTITUTION:At least one pair of electrodes 1 are installed in a culture device 2 and electric capacity therebetween is measured to rapidly and accurately measure and amounts of immobilized or suspended animal and plant cells 3 in the culture device 2 from an increased value thereof.
