Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the bellow folding combining dissimilar folding widths by a simple reciprocating type folding machine by alternately executing the reciprocating and rocking movements of the 1st folding edge and the 2nd folding edge and folding a sheetlike member in a bellows shape in the specified folding width. CONSTITUTION:The base part rod 15a of the 1st folding edge 15 is pushed down along the linear part 11c of a 1st reciprocating cam 11 with the rotation of a driving gear, simultaneously pulled by a spring with the rotation of a 1st rocking cam 13 and the 1st folding edge 15 is moved down by being rocked to the left part. A sheet 40 is fold up by the tip 15b of the folding edge 15. The base part rod of a connection plate 24 is moved down along the linear part of a large cam 31, the 2nd folding edge 25 is also moved down and moved to the position apart downwards from the folding face of the sheet 40. A cam 23 pushes the folding edge 25 to the right part, the base part rod of the connection plate 24 is pushed up by a small cam 32 and the folding edge 25 is also moved up. Simultaneously the folding edge 25 is rocked to the left part and the sheet 40 is folded by the tip part 25b of the edge 25. The bellows folding combining dissimilar folding widths by varying the shape and dimension of a cam can thus be obtd.
