Abstract

PURPOSE:To alter the characteristic of a noise removal circuit to be respectively adaquate for a moving picture and for a still picture by recording the identification signal of moving picture recording/still picture recording to a recording medium in a picture recording/reproducing system which records the still picture with a same format as the moving picture. CONSTITUTION:When photographer operates a shutter 52 and instructs of still picture recording, a system controller 34 changes over a switch 36 to the side of a contact point (b), and a memory control circuit 30 inhibits the writing into a memory 28. The storage signal of the memory 28 is repeatedly read at every prescribed time and are repeatedly recorded to a magnetic tape 64 for a prescribed period. Furthermore, controller 34 transmits data to a PCM signal processing circuit 46, sets the bit of an ID which a PCM signal has previously set to 'H', and to 'L' when a system returns to a moving picture recording mode. At the time of reproduction, a PCM signal processing circuit 114 impresses identification bits included in the ID of the PCM signal on amplifiers 92 and 104, controls coefficients (k) and (1-k) and obtains satisfactory pictures with respect to both the still picture and the moving picture.
