Abstract

This frequency adjustment is easily attained by making the capacity of a capacitor C constant and changing the inductance of a coil L. Thereby the gap between the electrodes is maximized at the peak time of chemical formation current when the arc energy maximizes. Therefore a vertical magnetic field is applied uniformly to the whole electrode surface. This allows uniform chemical formation to the whole even though the electrode dia. has grown.
