[Detailed Description of the Invention] Industrial Application Field The present invention relates to a copying machine equipped with a light-emitting device for erasing charges, which is easy to attach and detach and is useful for preventing unnecessary light.

Prior Art In an electrostatic image recording device such as an electrophotographic copying machine, a rotating photoreceptor drum holds a charge through charging, forms an electrostatic latent image through exposure, and then creates a so-called toner image through development. After the process of transferring this toner image to a recording paper, the photosensitive drum is further cleaned of residual toner by a cleaning device, and is irradiated with a charge erasing lamp to erase the residual image potential, and then the photosensitive drum is used in the subsequent transfer process. Finish one cycle by preparing for the next.

If the residual image potential on the photosensitive drum is not completely erased, the next cycle is entered with the latent image of the previous transfer still remaining, so that the electrostatic latent image of the subsequent original is formed overlappingly, resulting in a toner image. The transferred image on the recording paper is not only unsightly, but in extreme cases it becomes illegible and unusable.

Therefore, the charge erasing lamp needs to have a high illuminance capable of erasing the residual image potential of the rotating photoreceptor drum in a short period of time, and has a relatively short lifespan since it is frequently used. The lamp must be replaced periodically with a new one. Furthermore, in the case of a frame body in which a plurality of charge erasing light sources are arranged in parallel to be used when reducing or enlarging an original, it is troublesome to replace the light sources.

However, in conventional copying machines, the frame housing the charge erasing lamp is in contact with the substrate that supports each device in the image forming process within the copying machine.
Since it is directly attached and fixed with screws, etc., when removing the frame to replace the lamp, there is a high risk of accidentally operating the screwdriver and damaging the photoconductor drum and other devices. It is considered to be a difficult job for the poor workers.
In particular, erasing lamps used for reduction, in which a large number of lamps are arranged side by side, have a number of drawbacks, such as requiring a long working time during equipment maintenance.

In addition, inside a copying machine, each device for the image forming process is arranged in a limited space and intertwined with each other. Unwanted light cannot be avoided. Excessive unnecessary light impairs the contrast of the transferred image and degrades the quality of the copy. Therefore, in conventional copying machines, a light shielding plate is often provided facing the photoreceptor drum. The actual situation is that many parts and assembly time are required.

Structure of the invention When installing a charge erasing light source of an image forming process device into a copying machine, the frame of the light source is inserted and held in a pair of clip-type supporting members provided on a substrate, and the portion of the frame protruding outside is used as a light shielding plate. Openings in elastic support members 4 and 5 integrally formed of a resin material with substrates 1 and 2 that support an image forming process device of a copying machine from both sides. The light source of the frame 6, which is provided with a portion facing away from the image forming process device and into which an erasing light source can be mounted, faces toward the process device, and the frame 6 is inserted into the opening of the support member. This is achieved by a light source device for charge erasing in a copying machine, which is configured so that it can be inserted from the document illumination section side, and is provided with a handle 7 that projects above the outside of the frame 6 toward the document illumination section side.

The substrates 1 and 2 have respective openings 4C.
Support members 4 and 5 are provided with elastic protrusions 4a, 4b and 5a, 5b made of a resin material or the like so as to sandwich 5C, and a portion of the charge is erased when reducing or enlarging a copy. Alternatively, the frame body 6 housing the charge erasing light source 8 for erasing the entire surface passes through the openings 4C and 5C of the support members 4 and 5 and the projections 4a, 4b and 5a, 5b.
It is crimped and held by. The supporting members 4 and 5 are integrally molded with the substrates 1 and 2 by a resin molding method (see FIG. 3). In this state, the photosensitive drum 3 rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow in FIG. 2, and after completing the process of transferring to a recording paper (not shown), the cleaning device 9 scrapes off the remaining toner. Next, the charge erasing light source 8

Finish one cycle. In order to copy the subsequent original, the charge is held again by the charging electrode 10, and for example, an erasing light source that matches the image width is turned on, and the image is exposed by the imaging lens 11 and the reflecting mirror 12, and a new electrostatic latent image is created. will be formed. The light source 8 may be either a large number of lamps or a surface light emitter.

When the handle 7 integrally formed with the frame 6 housing the charge erasing light source 8 is pulled up perpendicularly to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 3, the frame 6 moves away from the support member holding it in place. Since the projections 4a, 4b and 5a, 5b of 4 and 5 are pushed apart against their elastic action, the frame 6 is moved against the substrate 1.
and 2, and can be easily removed without damaging the photosensitive drum 3.

After replacing the erasing light source 8, etc., use the handle 7 again to push the frame 6 integral with it into the openings 4C and 5C of the support members 4 and 5, respectively.
When it is press-fitted in the radial direction, the state shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is restored, and the state in which the charge erasing cycle described above is performed is restored.

Furthermore, if the handle 7 is made wide and long as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the handle 7 not only functions as a handle, but also allows the light to be projected from the exposure light source (not shown) without passing through the normal projection light path. Unnecessary light entering the projection section 3a of the photoreceptor 3 can be blocked. Therefore, the image transferred by the photosensitive drum 3 has good contrast and is clear. Although the support members 4 and 5 have been described as resin members, it goes without saying that they may be constructed of thin elastic metal parts.

Effects of the invention According to the invention, since no tools are used, it is possible to easily and safely attach and detach the charge erasing light source, etc., and furthermore, a part of the frame housing the erasing light source also serves as a light shielding plate. This also has the effect of reducing costs by reducing the number of parts and assembly time. Furthermore, when replacing the photosensitive drum of a copying machine, the frame of the charge erasing light source can be immediately removed, so there is an advantage that the surface of the photosensitive drum is not damaged.
