Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the titled optical fiber itself from deforming and damaging by fixing the optical connector plug made of plastic directly to one end of the optical fiber equipped with a protection layer. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 21 with the protection layer is put in, for example, a two-split metallic mold with an optical connector plug molding mold and installed in the metallic mold 22, and the metallic mold is closed to fix the fiber while being applied with tensile force so as not to bend in the metallic mold. Then optical connector plug forming resin is molded integrally by an inserting method in contact with the outer periphery of the protection layer of the optical fiber, the metallic mode is removed, and the tip part 24 of the optical fiber connector is cut to form an optical fiber tip part. Thus, the protection layer of the optical fiber 21 and optical connector plug are integrated in contact across no adhesive, so the connector is never loosened even when the optical fiber connector part is connected to and disconnected from other equipments repeatedly and the optical fiber itself is prevented from deforming and damaging.
