Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the construction of superior mechanical strength available by providing an oxide layer mainly composed of zirconia and a superconducting composite oxide layer. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an oxide layer mainly composed of zirconia and a superconducting composite oxide layer. The oxide layer mainly composed of zirconia comprises zirconia and a metal oxide solidly soluble therein. Any metal oxide soluble in zirconia can be used, but magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, scandium oxide and rare earth oxide are particularly preferable. A solid solution containing at least one type of said oxide enables the embodiment of stabilized zirconia. According to the aforesaid system, mechanical strength can be enhanced.
