Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality due to cross color or dot disturbance by sending a video signal from a reproducing system to a recording system while a luminance signal and a chrominance signal are being separated. CONSTITUTION:In dubbing a color picture from a master disk 1 into a slave disk 2, a video signal recorded on the master disk 1 is reproduced and separated into a luminance signal (a) and a chrominance signal (b), they are demodulated and the demodulated luminance signal (a) and chrominance signal (b) are amplified separately. Then the amplified luminance signal (a) and chrominance signal (b) are modulated, then the both are multiplexed and recorded on the slave disk 2. Since the synthesis means or the separation means such as a comb-line filter synthesizing the signals (a), (b) are not in use, then the cross color due to the interference between the luminance signal (a) and the chrominance signal (b) and dot disturbance in case of dubbing are reduced thereby suppressing the deterioration in the picture quality.
