Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled spool which has two functions of winding up and sampling a film at low cost, by providing a means of locking a film end having a structure which does not lock the film end on a spool at the time of winding up the film within a camera, in the titled spool. CONSTITUTION:The means 5 for locking the film end is provided within a slit part 4 through which the end part 1a of the film 1 can pass, and is constituted of plural elastic protrusions 51 which are brought into contact with a free end 51a extended from an inner wall 4a at one side of the slit part 4, with an inner wall 4b at an another side of said part 4 with a prescribed pressure, and has a holding power capable of preventing the slip of film out of said protrusions at the time of bending the film 1 by rotating a driving axis. Thus, when the film 1 housed in a cartridge 2 is mounted in the camera, and a photography with a prescribed frame count is finished, and further, rolled up the film to the spool, as the direction of travelling the film 1 for removing the end part 1a of the film from the spool 2, accord with the direction of acting a force for rolling up the film, and the magnitude of the applied force for rolling up the film is larger than the friction resistance between the end part 1a of the film and the free end of the elastic projecting part 51, the film can be removed smoothly from the spool 2.
