Abstract

PURPOSE:To establish a method for diagnosing a malignant disease by bringing an antibody to the human papilloma virus associated to the malignant disease and the sample cell separated from an organism body and detecting the specific conjugation of both. CONSTITUTION:The antibody which is produced to the antigen polypeptide contg. the relatively hydrophilic part constituting a part of an initial protein such as E6 or E7 of the human papilloma virus of the type associated to the malignant disease or the part estimated to form a beta-turn structure and is capable of conjugating specifically to the malignant morbid structure or cells is used. This antibody and the cells of the affected part are brought into contact with each other and the specific conjugation thereof is detected by a label, by which the malignant disease is diagnosed with high accuracy.
