Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the production of a ceremonial two-tone paper cord with machinery or the like while the operation reaches an additional tape binding procedure by applying an adhesive transferred from a transferring roll onto an adhesive-applying roll to plural twisted paper strings gathered and by making a tape having the prescribed length adhere to a ceremonial two-tone paper cord through a rotary drum and folding members. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (1) applying an adhesive transferred from a transferring roll onto an adhesive-applying roll to plural twisted paper strings gathered to make them adhere into an one-piece state and to form a ceremonial two-tone paper cord M; (2) feeding a tape 25 (e.g. silver foil or the like) cut so as to have its prescribed length while sucking it on a rotary drum 31 so as for the adhesive surface of the tape to face outward; (3) making the tape 25 adhere to the paper cord M moving on the rotary drum; and (4) folding both ends of the tape 25 in the width direction of the paper cord M about the paper cord M by folding member 36 and 37.
