Abstract

PURPOSE:To properly control an air-fuel ratio at the time of sudden acceleration and deceleration by changing a pressure compensation coefficient when variation of pressure in an intake pipe is more than a designated value to compute fuel supply quantity. CONSTITUTION:Signals from an absolute pressure sensor 8 and throttle opening sensor 3 disposed downstream from a throttle valve 3' of an intake pipe 2 are input to a control device 5. The control device 5 estimates the degree of acceleration and deceleration from variation of intake pipe pressure to compensate the intake pipe pressure by the first compensation coefficient. When the variation of the intake pipe pressure is more than a designated value, the pressure is compensated using the second compensation coefficient to compute fuel supply quantity. Thus, even at the time of sudden acceleration and deceleration, the air-fuel ratio can be properly controlled.
